Soul Train Music Award Nominee, Songwriter and Producer, JJ Hairston, Continues Resting On His Promise With New Beginnings

July 2, 2010 – NEW YORK, NY — In a year that has seen great accomplishments, Soul Train Music Award and multiple Stellar Award nominee, JJ Hairston, finds himself at the helm of new beginnings.  Recently, Hairston was tapped to be a first round judge for Verizon Wireless’ national choir competition, How Sweet The Sound.  This great opportunity is coupled by the celebration of the newest addition to his family, Baby Jayelle Lalah Hairston, with his wife Trina.

Arkansas Native, Education Expert Takes the Reigns in an Effort to Bring Change to Education

Pine Bluff, AR, December 9, 2009 – On the heels of Pine Bluff loosing the bid to host the new KIPP Charter School for 2011, Pine Bluff native, author, education expert and Executive Director of Sims-Fayola International Academy Charter School, Dedrick Sims, has reignited the fire in the

hearts and minds of Pine Bluff’s charter school supporters.  With the initial presentation of the Sims-Fayola International Academy (SFIA) taking place on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 6:00pm at the Hampton Inn & Suites located at 511 Mallard Loop in Pine Bluff, Sims will host what will be the first of many presentations for the all male charter school projected to serve grades 5-8.

Sims, a recent principal at KIPP McDonogh in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been utilized by various learning institutions throughout the United States to provide key instruction and design to educators and administrators.
